Carol Smith

Carol C. Smith, 58, of Hanover, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Brian K. Smith, her husband of 37 years. Born October 15, 1957 in Upper Darby, she was the daughter of Virginia (Phillips) Conant of Springfield and the late Roger K. “Skip” Conant. Carol was retired from the Montoursville Area School District and a member of Montoursville Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed knitting, sewing and crafts. Teaching and Inspiration were her passion in life. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother is her son, Daniel J. Smith and his wife Taffee of Hanover; a granddaughter, Eden Smith; and four sisters, Betsy Jordan and her husband Michael, Cathleen Conant, Nancy Sheppard and her husband Dr. Steven, and Christine Gross and her husband Joshua. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 205 Tule St., Montoursville, PA with Rev. David C. Smith officiating. Burial will be held privately in Bella Sylva Cemetery, Dutch Mountain.
