Josephine Joan Popso Fedrow

Mrs. Josephine Joan Popso Fedrow, age 87, formerly of Dushore, PA passed away on Thursday, October 08, 2015 at the Washington Health System, Waynesburg, PA. Josephine was born in Lopez, PA on July 30, 1928 a daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Pechulis Yudzeky. She attended elementary school in Lopez, and graduated from Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She married Thomas Popso of Lopez, on July 22, 1950 and he predeceased her in February of 1970. For most of her working career she worked in the garment industry in West Hazelton, and Lopez, PA. and she was also a certified nursing assistant and worked in health care in Wilkes-Barre, PA in her later years. She resided on Jackson Ave. in West Hazleton for many years, and then moved to Shavertown, retiring to Dushore in 1997. She was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA. Surviving: Son and daughter-in-law: Robert M. & Bonnie Popso of Washington, PA; and a brother: William Yudzeky of Dushore, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Francis Popso in Feb. of 1983 and two sisters Eleanor Bundle of Wilmington, DE, and Sophia Y. Bundle, of Lopez, PA and a brother Edward Yudzeky of Jendra, New South Wales, Australia. A Transferal Service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 P.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Richard Rojas, presiding. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, PA. Friends and family may call on Monday from 12:30 P.M. until the start of the Transferal Service at 1:30 P.M. at the P.
