Mildred Rebecca Richley

Mildred R. Karge Richley, age 95, formerly of Dushore, PA passed away on Monday, September 07, 2015 at the Guthrie Memorial Hospital in Towanda, PA. She had made her home at the Bradford County Manor, Burlington, PA since March 4, 2005. Mildred was born in Cherry Township on April 14, 1920 a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Hunsinger Karge. She graduated from the Dushore High School a member of the class of 1938. She began working for John Lumley, the superintendent of schools, Dushore, PA. She married Francis A. “Bud” Richley on April 10, 1943 and they owned and operated a dairy farm until their retirement in 1970. Bud predeceased her in 1985. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene R. & Linda L. Richley of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol A. & Robert J. Litzelman of Luthers Mills, PA; four grandchildren: Jeffrey and Cynthia Richley, Julie and Todd Whitehurst, Jordan and Stephanie Richley, all of Chesapeake, VA; and Pamela and Kyle Wagner of Summerdale, PA; five great-grandchildren: Brandon Richley, Monica Richley, Madison Whitehurst, Lauren Whitehurst, all of Chesapeake, VA; and Sara Wagner of Summerdale, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mildred was predeceased in addition to her husband, by two sisters: Fluetta Reeser and Genevieve Lillian Karge and a brother, Ralph J. Karge. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Cheryl Ann Houser, pastor of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Dushore, PA officiating. Interment will be in Peace Cemetery, Dushore, PA Friends may call on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
