Luis Marshall Perez

Mr. Luis Marshall Perez, age 82, of Mildred, PA and formerly of Midland Park, NJ, passed away on early Wednesday morning, June 24, 2015 at his home. Luis was born on November 5, 1932, in Midland Park, NJ a son of the late Luis J. & Helen L. Mastin Perez. After graduating from Pompton Lakes High School he honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955, during the Korean Conflict. Returning from the Navy, he went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Montclair State College in New Jersey where he worked as an Industrial Arts teacher for many years. He also worked a real estate agent for several years prior to his retirement in 2002. Mr. Perez spent the bulk of his senior years living in the beautiful mountains of Sullivan County, enjoying hiking, camping and an active outdoors life. Luis enjoyed camping, hunting, and anything that dealt with the outdoors. He was a member of the Evergreen Masonic Lodge, No. 163 F.&A.M. and also a member of the McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA. Surviving: Three sons: Scott (Jill) Perez, Salem, VA Luis M. Perez Jr., High Point, NC Todd Perez, Mildred, PA Two daughters: Dawn (Doug) Ramsayer, San Diego, CA Diane Perez, Hewitt, NJ Brother: Charles C. Perez, Lexington, MA Two half sisters: Carolyn Ramirez, Miami, FL Evelyn Perez, Melrose, MA Also surviving are seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Luis M. Perez.
