David Allen Hall

David Allen Hall, age 56, of Eagles Mere, PA passed away in his home early Wednesday morning, on June 3, 2015 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Born on August 2, 1958 in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Marvin Charles Hall, Jr & Myrtle Eva Mulvaney Hall the youngest of seven children. David graduated from Coatesville Area High School (CASH) a member of the class of 1977. He worked as a Crane Operator for GO Carlson in Coatesville, PA for a few years before moving to Palmetto, FL. During his time in Florida he worked as a crane operator before apprenticing with a General Contractor. He moved back to PA and was self-employed as a general contractor in Exton, PA and later in Reading, PA. Living in Florida David began helping a friend on a Charter Fishing Boat which began his love of fishing whether it was deep sea or fresh water. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. The past 6 years, his life was devoted to helping others. He had a passion for spreading the Gospel and the Homeless Ministry in Reading, PA. After David’s illness was diagnosed he choose to live his years out in Sullivan County, an area he dearly loved. He was looking forward to walking in this year’s Relay for Life as a Survivor and attending the Survivor’s Dinner with his Sister Diane and Brother-in-Law Gerry. He will be there with them in spirit this year. He was a member of the Rock Run Church, Muncy Valley, PA and also a member of the City Lights Ministry, Reading, PA. He will be greatly missed by the lives he touched in Reading as well as Sullivan County and his family. Surviving are two daughters, Nicole Jean Hall and Brianna Hall Ozaki wife of Michael Ozaki and three granddaughters and one grandson. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at the Rock Run Church in Muncy Valley, PA on Sunday June 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. James W. Bechtel, his pastor, officiating. An additional Celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the City Lights Ministry, 940 Spruce St. Reading, PA, with Pastor Joe Sclafani, officiating.
