Frank J. Andjeski, age 88 of Lopez, and Merritt Island, FL passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach, FL
Frank was born July 7, 1926 in Lopez, PA a son of the late Stanley and Tekla Kwiatkosky Andjeski. Frank attended the Lopez school. He went to work at American LaFrance Corp. in Elmira, NY and enlisted at age 17 into the US Navy to fight in WWII. He was discharged in July of 1946. He work in New York for US Merchant Marines and married the former Theresa Ciaccio of New York City in 1949. Theresa predeceased him on October 26, 1998.
Frank worked for the Merchant Marines and retired as a chief engineer.
Frank was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA

Three great grandchildren, Michael, Wyatt, and Lily and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by four brothers: Joseph Andzeski, Charles A. Andjeski and Andrew A. (Bonnie) Andjeski and Edward A. Anjeski; two sisters: Sophia Bay and Mary Kneller.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 20th 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at SS: Peter and Paul’s Byzantine Cemetery, Lopez, PA with the Rev. Eugene R. Carr, presiding.
Graveside Military Services will be accorded by members of the US Navy Honor’s Detail.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA
