Betty Marie Walter

Betty Marie Walter, age 57, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Betty was born December 20, 1957 in Sayre, a daughter of Anna Marie Capwell Cory and the late Merton G. Walter Sr. She worked at the A.J. Dress Factory in Black Walnut until it closed. She then moved to Sullivan Terrace, Dushore, PA where she was very active and helped with the luncheon meals and also assisted many of the other residents with their needs. She was a member of the Calvary Church, of Wyalusing, PA. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. Surviving: Daughters: Cassandra Paddock and Jimmy Matthews Collierville, TN Eloise Morris Forty Fort, PA Son: John (Lauren) Walter Wysox, PA Step-children: Elizabeth Bailey Towanda, PA Debbie Bailey Franklindale, PA Johnny Bailey Franklindale, PA Jimmy (Cheryl) Bailey Franklindale, PA Four brothers: Merton (Nellie) Walter Jr. Stevensville, PA Kenneth (Tina) Walter Wysox, PA Eugene (Penny) Walter Wyalusing, PA Michael (Penny) Walter Wyalusing, PA Five grandchildren: Hunter Paddock Angelina Walter Damian Walter Hailey Walter John Walter Jr. Special Aunt: Anna Mae Johnson Uncles and wife: Fred (Betty) Heeman Lindy Heeman Special Friend: John Bailey Sr. And numerous step-grandchildren, numerous step-great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well numerous nieces, newphews, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Merton G. Walter Sr., her step-father, Dewitt J. Cory, and grandmother: Olive Clark Capwell Holcomb. A Memorial Service and a celebration of her life will be held at the Calvary Chapel on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 6:00 P.M., with her Pastor John McAndrew, officiating. Interment will be private at the Lime Hill Cemetery.
