Margarette "Peggy" Eleanor Avery

Mrs. Margarette Eleanor “Peggy” Avery, age 97, of Eldredsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday night, February 26, 2015 at the Dar-Way Elder Care, Forksville, PA. Peggy was born in Hughesville, PA on March 14, 1917 a daughter of the late Harry & Irene Vroman Springer. She graduated from Estella High School a member of the class of 1935. She married Arnold J. Avery of Elkland Township, and he predeceased her in 1963. Peggy enjoyed antiquing and crocheting and knitting. She was an avid reader and loved music. Surviving: Daughter: Nancy Wiles Eagles Mere, PA Grandsons: David (Donna) Wiles Forksville, PA Joseph Wiles New Albany, PA Five great-grandchildren: Charles “Chaz” Wiles Kayla Wiles Dustin Wiles Logan Wiles Natalie Insinger Three great great-grandchildren: Jaxon Lillian Emma Peggy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Whiteman. Friends and family may call on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Fairmount Cemetery, Forksville, PA.
