Sylvia Schiller

Mrs. Sylvia Schiller, age 93, of Durell, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Skilled Nursing Unit, of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA Sylvia was born November 16, 1921 in the Bronx, NY a daughter of the late Lewis & Sadie Marcowitz. She graduated from High School and attended Secretarial School in N.Y.C. She married Irwin Henry “Hank” Schiller of New York and they retired to Durell in 1990. Hank predeceased her on June 9, 1997. Surviving: two daughters, Lynn (Hank) Henfling and Robin Beth (Tom) O’Hagan; 4 grandchildren, Shawn & Corey Henfling and Ashley Kahn & Lauren O’Hagan; 3 great grandchildren, Carter, Nicole and Austin; she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Erica in 1993 and by sibling: Fanny Harowitz and Sonny Marcowitz. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rabbi Roger A. Lerner, of Temple B’nai B’rith, Kingston, PA officiating. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery.
