OBITUARY
December 21, 2014 John C. Davey, age 65, of Albany Township, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his home with his loving family at his side. John was born in Fountain Hill, PA a son of the late Walter M & Ada Parsons Davey. He grew up in Pen Argyl and graduated from the Pen Argyl High School as a member of the class of 1967 . He went on to graduate from East Stroudsburg State College with a degree in Education. He taught English at the Pen Argyl Elementary School for a short time and then became a Rural Mail Carrier for the Pen Argyl Post Office. He retired from there and moved to New Albany in 2008 after 30 years of service. He married the former Linda J. Miller of Pen Argyl in 1979. John enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, telling tall tales, rock collecting and fixing broken things. He was a loving spouse and enjoyed spending time with his children grandchildren. His love for animals brought him to New Albany and that love was passed on to his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and also a former member of the Grange. Surviving: Spouse: Linda at home Son: James G. (spouse Jesse) Ransom Montrose, PA Mother-in-law: Helen Miller Wind Gap, PA Brother: Donald F. Silver Springs, FL Twin sister: JoAnne (spouse Thomas) Evans Stuarts Draft, VA Eight grandchildren: Diane God Emily God Ashley (spouse Brian) Hoffman Brandon Fenner Myla Ransom Austin Kregel Lindsey Kregel Todd (spouse Maria) Kregel and one niece and three nephews Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Dushore Fire and Ambulance Assoc.,
