Alice L. Chrzanowski, 80, of Apalachin, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014, at her home.
She was born November 15, 1934 in Towanda, PA a daughter of the late Edward and Florence Fulmer Silverstrim. She graduated from Turnpike High School, a member of the class of 1953. She married Bernard Chrzanowski of Bernice on August 17, 1957.
Alice was a member and treasurer of the Apalachin United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star Round Hill Chapter #104, Endicott and was inducted into the BJCE USBC Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She had a love for bowling and genealogy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bernard Chrzanowski: son, Douglas (Colleen) Chrzanowski, Owego, NY; five siblings: Rose Mary (Russell) Bennett of Forksville, PA, Gloria Ann Bryan of Dushore, PA, Patsy Jean (Douglas) Fries of Pineville, LA, Dorothy Silverstrim and Robert Silverstrim of Dushore and Connie (Robert) Vohrer of Meshoppen, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was predeceased by her sisters; Dolores (Earl) Insinger on September 16, 1987 and Joan (Donald) Shaffer on February 20, 1988.
The family will receive friends at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St. Dushore, PA on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda Renninger, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Alice can be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St. Johnson City, NY 13790.
