Yanavitch Randall, age 85, of Stevensville, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA with her loving family at her side. Catheryn was born at home on the family farm in Stevensville, PA on November 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Cassie Moleski Yanuicz. She graduated from the Camptown High School in the class of 1947. She married Carl Manley Randall on July 3, 1954 and they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary before his passing on September 9, 2009. Catheryn loved spending time with her family and friends, she was looking forward to the arrival of her fourth great-grandchild. She was an avid gardener, she also enjoyed hunting and bird watching. Catheryn liked to stay active, what was work to others was play to her. She helped with the Ugly Quilts for the homeless project at the Spring Hill Community Hall. She had many talents not the least of which included carpentry, masonry, sewing, and general supervision. She enjoyed visits from her grand-dogs and cats. She loved a good adventurous yard sale excursion. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, and was always thinking of others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Catheryn was a member St. Mary’s Church in Wyalusing, PA Surviving: Son: Carl Randall Jr., Owego, NY Two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Raymond Oslin, Auburn Center, PA Cassie Taylor, Mehoopany, PA Two grandchildren: Chaz Ryce, Meshoppen, PA Kristy and Rick Gill, Chesapeake, VA Three great-grandchildren: Richard Gill III, Chesapeake, VA Micah Gill, Chesapeake, VA Alena Gill, Chesapeake, VA Brother: William Yanavitch, Waverly, NY Sisters-in-law: Martha Yanavitch, Stevensville, PA Betty Yanavitch, LeRaysville, PA Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers: Anthony Yanavitch on September 21, 1988 and Joseph Yanavitch on July 22, 1998, and also by two sisters: Anna Bagdon on April 22, 2005 and Mary Jones on February 26, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014, 2014 at 7:00PM at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with her pastor, the Rev. Joseph J. Manarchuck, presiding. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to the start of the service.
