(Shelly) Yeager, age 66, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Shelly was born on October 18, 1948, in Coaldale, PA, a daughter of the late Russell and Joyce Miller Murphy. She graduated from the East Machunk High School in the class of 1966. After school she worked various jobs before becoming a meat cutter at Genuardi’s Markets. She met Bill Yeager and they were married in 1998. She was influential in helping establish Stoney Point Guns, which she continued to assist with until her illness did not allow it. Shelly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed baking and cooking. She was famous for her Stoney Point gun cookies. She liked to knit and read in her spare time. She enjoyed attending church at the Neath Congregational Church, Neath, PA. She loved spending time with her family and friends; she will be missed by many. Surviving: Spouse: William Yeager Wyalusing, PA Step-Son: William Yeager IV Glenside, PA Step-Daughter: Christine Kuhlhoff and fiancé Paul Willis O’Fallon, IL Son-in-law: Frank Montesrin Wyalusing, PA 4 Grandchildren: Numerous siblings and several nieces and nephews. Shelly was predeceased by a daughter, Louanne Montesrin in February of 2014. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853, with Thomas J. Hiduk Jr., officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
