Pedro Sr, age 66, of New Albany, PA passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Williamsport Hospital with his loving family at his side. Wayne was born February 8, 1948, a son of the late Gilbert and Cora Hunsinger Pedro. He grew up in Mildred and attended the Sullivan County High School. He began working for his brother Angelo Pedro in the construction business and later went to work for GTE Sylvania in Towanda, from which he retired after 34 years of service. He married the former Sharon McCarty of Hillsgrove on July 22, 1967. Wayne was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed making hay and running his Belgian Horses, which he took to parades and horse pulls. Surviving: Spouse: Sharon at home Sons: Wayne J. (Paula) Pedro Jr. Mildred, PA Shane M. He was predeceased by brothers, John, an infant, and Thomas J. “T.J.” Pedro on October 2, 2014, and sisters: Margaret Sysock Pastusic on April 28, 1996 and Eleanor Fowler on October 24, 2014. A Transferal Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, at 11:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, at St. 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church with the Rev. Edward L. Michelini, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton, PA at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the P.
