While her children were growing up she was a Cub Scout leader, helped with Girl Scouts, was a member of the PTA and Band Parents. She loved to quilt, and all family members have their keepsake quilts. She spent leisure time camping with her family. In later years she and Lloyd enjoyed going on cruises, bus trips, and flying with groups around the US and abroad. After her children had been put through college she devoted her time to Lioness, proudly being named Lioness of the Year, volunteered at the Senior Center doing PEPPI classes for continued mobility, was a Guthrie Hospice volunteer for over 10 years, a member of AARP, Senior Citizens and ran the chicken barbeque booth for the Wyalusing Firemen’s Carnival for over 40 years.
