Allen Roy was born on November 25, 1948, in Mehoopany, PA a son of Francelia Burlington Neiley and the late Allen Roy Neiley Jr. He graduated from the Wyalusing Valley High School in the class of 1966. He then attended Williamsport Area Community College graduating with a degree in auto mechanics and welding. During college he began working for Taylor McCarty and Sons GM dealership in Wyalusing. After college, he remained with the dealership. Taylor McCarty was sold to Williams Auto Group, which later became Sherwood Groves, and at this time he then went to work at Moore’s Auto and RV Sales from which he retired in 2011 as a Certified Master Chevrolet Technician. He met and married the former Norene Donahue of Endicott, NY on February 29, 1992, having celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. Allen Roy was a charter member of Twin Tier Antique Tractor and Machinery Association. He was a member of the North Woods Camp, and a member of the NRA. Allen Roy was a member of Elks Lodge #869, Lyons, NY. He was an avid hunter and he especially liked hunting turkey and deer. He also enjoyed restoring two cylinder John Deere tractors of which he had a few and he also collected scale model John Deere tractors. He was very involved with his family genealogy. He loved spending time with his family and his many cats. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853, with the Rev. William L. Westbrook Sr., officiating. Interment will be in the Camptown Cemetery, Camptown, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M at the P. Dean Homer funeral home.
