Bundle, age 95, of Lopez, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA. Sophia was born in Plains, PA on July 1, 1918 a daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Pechulis Yudzeky. Her family moved to Lopez where she attended local schools and married Joseph Bundle of Mildred, PA on June 20, 1936. Joe predeceased her on May 9, 1999. Sophia worked at the former Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA and retired from Dushore Lingerie after many years of service. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA and enjoyed quilting with her quilting group. She most loved being with her grandsons and great grandson. Surviving: Daughter: Sylvia Ann (Gerald P) Dempsey Dover, DE Two grandsons: Jeffrey (Donna) Dempsey Laurel, MD Patrick Dempsey Alexandria, VA Great grandson: Ryan Dempsey Brother: William A. “Vince” Yudzeky Lopez, PA Sister: Josephine Fedrow Waynesburg, PA Sisters-in-law: Catherine Buck Groton, NY Mary (Joseph) Lamoreaux Elmira, NY Elsie Bundle Dushore, PA And numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Keith Dempsey, on June 18, 1972: brother: Edward Yudzeky; sister: Eleanor Bundle;  brothers-in-law: Stanley Bundle, Edward Bundle, Peter Bundle, Paul Bundle and John Bundle; sisters-in-law: Clara Bahr, Sophia Tracy, Helen Bundle and Ann Kramer. A Transferal Service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
