Jessica Miller Craig, 74, of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Akron, Ohio and Stamford, Connecticut died Wednesday October 16, 2013 in Concord, Massachusetts. She was the beloved wife of William F. Craig of Jupiter, Florida. formerly of Concord, Mass. Past President of Shawmut Bank.
Born in Akron, Ohio on April 22, 1939 she was the daughter of Dr. Noah Miller and Belle (Kondritzer) Miller. She attended schools in Akron and was a 1957 graduate of Old Trail School in Akron. She later graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York and received a Masters in Special Education from Fordham University in New York.
Mrs. Craig worked for many years as a reading teacher, specializing in tutoring students with learning disabilities at New Canaan Country Day School in Connecticut
She was a member of the Weston, Mass. Golf Club, Landfall Club in Wilmington, North Carolina and the Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter, Florida.
She was a board member of Friends of the Arts in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania as well as being a member of the Eagles Mere Country Club.
For many years, Mrs. Craig enjoyed summering in Truro, Massachusetts.
She was the devoted mother of Mark, Anna and David Resnick and is also survived by five grandchildren, nine step-children, eighteen step- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Dr. Noah Miller and Belle (Kondritzer) Miller and by her sisters Marilyn Berk and Cheryl Berk.
