Warren Fiester, age 92, of Forksville, PA passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA with his loving family at his side. Warren was born September 2, 1920 in Laporte Township, Sullivan County, PA a son of the late Leo & Jennie Grace Gardner Fiester. Warren graduated from the Sonestown High School, a member of the class of 1936. Warren married the former Irene Day of Elkland Township in 1939, she predeceased him on December 1, 2004. Warren and Irene lived and worked all of their lives in Sullivan County. They began farming in Elkland Township in 1940. Warren was a well-known auctioneer and retired after 23 years of service as a Rural Mail Carrier for the US Postal System. He loved his family, the out-of-doors, farming, gardening and especially reminiscing with stories about Sullivan County and times past. He was a long standing member of the Sullivan County Agricultural Society and a member of Evergreen Lodge #163, F.&A.M. in Monroeton, PA. Aldinger Forksville, PA Betsy (Duane) Reibson Forksville, PA Brother: Fred L. (Helen) Fiester Muncy Valley, PA Brother-in-law: Bruce Day Burgaw, N.C. Sisters-in-law: Shirley Warburton Forksville, PA Jule (Marvin) Driscoll Canton, PA 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters: Nancy Louise Fiester in 1990 and Roberta Irene Fiester on March 24, 2009; a sister, Ruby Smith of Montoursville, PA; and three brothers: Henry Lyndon Fiester of Muncy Valley; Clair Fiester of Muncy Valley and Bert Fiester of Eagles Mere, PA; sister-in-law: Ina Avery of Dushore, PA and brother-in-law: Gene Day of New Albany, PA Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 7th, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. J. Herbert Eby, officiating.. Interment will be private in Bethel Cemetery, Elkland Township, PA. Friends may call on Friday, from 10:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614 until the time of the service.
