OBITUARY
December 26, 2012
Miss Ashley Ann Dyer, age 27, of Dushore, PA went to the Lord on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She is resting now after her battle with Lupus since age 13.
Ashley was born April 3, 1985 in Towanda, PA. Ashley was a well-known young girl with many friends. She graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 2003, where she was a varsity wrestling cheerleader and studied cosmetology at the Sullivan-Towanda Vo-Tech School.
She lived in Sullivan county all of her life, loving every minute of it. Ashley never took life for granted. She worked until her Lupus no longer permitted her to. Some may remember seeing her at the register at the Acorn or the Dushore Market always smiling.
Ashley always tried to be independent and always enjoyed life and always picked out the beauty in everything. She had the biggest kindest heart. Her babies were her kitties that she adopted 6 years ago Victoria and Pixie. Her favorite colors were pink and purple she was a big kid at heart. Tinker Bell was her most favorite, she had Tinker Bell everything. She was always saying one day Tink would sprinkle her fairy dust on her and make her all better.
Ashley loved to listen to music and watch movies of all kind epically Disney. She also loved fishing and shooting her bow on her own or with her brother Dan, and her best friend Heidi Bayer or step-dad Troy Shults who predeceased her in October 2009,
She also liked football, her team was New England Patriots, and for some reason she liked John Deere tractors.
Ashley was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA and she was a member of the Dushore American Legion Post #996 auxiliary.
Surviving: Mother, Diane Orlowski Dyer Shults of Dushore; a brother, Dan Dyer and friend Josie Burnet of Dushore; a sister, Natalie Dyer and friend Jaimie Wood of Dushore, PA; step-brother, Jamie Shults & friend Lisa Vincent of Monroeton; also her best friend, Heidi Bayer of Dushore; Maternal grandfather, William Orlowski of Mildred, PA; Paternal grandparents, Richard & Barbara Dyer of Port Richie, FL; father Richard Dyer of FL; great aunt, Patricia (Elwood) Smith of Whitehall, PA; an uncle, Robert (Melissa) Dyer of Port Richie, FL; three aunts: Linda & Ted Beaver of Lopez, PA, Cindy Orlowski of Mildred, PA and Cathy Orlowski and friend Jason Quesada of Muncy; two nieces Lillian Wood of Dushore, PA and Kirsten Shults of Monroeton, PA and five cousins, Lisa Sperry, Matt Beaver and Emily, Alison and James Dyer and numerous other cousins. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Patricia Ann Orlowski on September 16, 2002.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Trinity Chapel, Mildred, with the Rev. Robert Kaltenbaugh, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and request that memorial contributions be sent in Ashley’s name to Trinity Chapel, PO Box 460, Dushore, PA 18614 to help with expenses.
