OBITUARY
December 19, 2012
Alice Elizabeth Luck, age 59, of Dushore, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 peacefully after a brief illness.
Alice was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 11, 1953 the only child of William Neal “Chief” Luck and Alice Booth Luck. She graduated from High School and also graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. degree in Biology/Chemistry with a minor in Physics. She was NJ certified K-12 teacher and was a science specialist at a Catholic Parochial School for several years.
She moved to Cherry Township with her parents and became very involved with her church and the Red Hats group. She enjoyed being the Red Hat ladies and also made jewelry for them. She was also involved with fundraising for the Endless Mountains Medical Mission International Team. Alice loved helping people by doing research for them on her computer plus she loved to talk to people about Jesus Christ on the internet. She loved politics and was an avid fisherman. Alice was a very loving, generous woman who will be greatly missed by friends, family and dogs Muffin & Holly.
She was a member of the Living Hope Fellowship in Estella, PA and a member of the Women’s Bible Study.
Surviving are: Aunt and godmother Lillian Harmer and aunt and uncle, Mae and Paul Cooper and several cousins. She is also survived by a godchild, Cheryl Petrowski Hill from NJ.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA with Pastor Jake Lund officiating.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Living Home Fellowship, Estella, PA.
