Margaret T Williams

Mrs. Margaret T. (Peg) Williams, age 93, of Troy, PA passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA following a brief illness. Peg was born July 22, 1919 in Troy, PA a daughter of the late Francis and Rachel Wilcox Vineski. She graduated from the Troy High School a member of the class of 1937. She married Watson O. Williams of Troy on Oct. 30, 1937 and he predeceased her on Aug. 25, 1994. She was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Troy and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was 50+ year member of the American Legion Brooks Flick Post #49 Auxiliary of Troy. Surviving: Daughter: A. Doreen (Robert) Hurley of Dushore, PA; son: Robert F. (Darlene) Williams of Troy; daughter-in-law: Marcella L. Williams of Wellsboro, PA; sister-in-law: Gwen Vineski of CA; grandchildren; Laura Williams, Brenda Brewster, Shannon Strobridge, Christopher Hurley, Nicholas Hurley and Robert Hurley; five greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by son, Thomas V. Williams in 1996 and a granddaughter Marcy Morseman; a great grandson, Shane Morseman two brothers; Theodore Vineski in 1994 and Robert Vineski in 1996, and a sister, Marian Frances Phillips in 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Troy, PA with the Rev. Michael McCormick, presiding. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Troy Memorial are directed to St. John’s Catholic Church, c/o St. Michael’s Church, 24 North Washington St., Canton, PA 17724.
