Bullock, age 85, of Laceyville, PA passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at his home with his loving family at his side. Chris was born September 16, 1926 in Hazleton, PA a son of the late Charles Wesley & Matilda Jane Williams Bullock. He graduated from the Wyalusing High School, a member of the class of 1944. He enlisted in the Army in World War II and served in Japan. Returning from the War he held a variety of jobs until 1958 when he became co-owner of O & B Heating and Plumbing of Wyalusing. After the company closed he continued to work in the heating business until he retired in 1977. Chris was a member of the American Legion and the VFW and was past commander of the VFW Post #6072, Durell. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Chris is survived by his wife of forty-two years, the former Laura Sites Bullock: his daughters, Brenda (Charles) Ross; Raylene (Gary) Eveland and Debra (Conrad) Matz; step-daughters, Rosemary (Al) Cender, Julia (Erling “Jug”) Johnson; step-sons: Robert (Kathy) Sluyter and James Sluyter and friend Dawn. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and sisters-in-law Elda Bullock of Rensselar Falls, NY, Marian Voda of Laceyville, PA. He was predeceased by brothers: Charles Bullock, Perry Douglas Bullock, James Bullock and Owen Bullock and a sister, Ellen Bullock Long and a step-daughter, Nancy Hufford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853 with Pastor Thomas Davis of the Braintrim Baptist Church, Laceyville, PA, officiating. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.. The family will provide the flowers and ask that donations in his memory be made to the Wyalusing Public Library, PO Box 98, Wyalusing, PA 18853. Graveside Military Services will be accorded by member of Wyalusing Post #534 American Legion. Members are asked to assemble and pass- in-review on Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
