Walter was born in Scranton, PA on May 25, 1924 a son of the late Joseph & Helen Jessick Traczyk. He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1944 during WWII. He worked as a foreman on construction in the Philadelphia area until retiring to Dushore in 2007. He was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, and Laborer’s International Union Local 332 of Philadelphia. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially walking and gardening. Surviving: Son: Walter (Margaret) Traczyk of Dushore, PA Daughter: Carol Callahan Canon City, CO Sister-in-law: Loretta Traczyk Belmar, NJ Five grandchildren: Joseph Callahan, Chad Callahan, Craig Callahan, Traci Ann Mason, and Brian Gallagher; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother: Joseph Traczyk; sisters: Helen Baptiste and Lydia Ficara. A Graveside Service will be at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Blackwood, NJ.
