Walter Traczyk, age 87, of Boxer Drive, Dushore, PA passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA after a brief illness.
Walter was born in Scranton, PA on May 25, 1924 a son of the late Joseph & Helen Jessick Traczyk. He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1944 during WWII.
He worked as a foreman on construction in the Philadelphia area until retiring to Dushore in 2007.
He was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, and Laborer’s International Union Local 332 of Philadelphia. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially walking and gardening.

Sister-in-law: Loretta Traczyk Belmar, NJ
Five grandchildren: Joseph Callahan, Chad Callahan, Craig Callahan, Traci Ann Mason, and Brian Gallagher; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother: Joseph Traczyk; sisters: Helen Baptiste and Lydia Ficara.
A Graveside Service will be at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Blackwood, NJ.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
