Anna belonged to St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Church in Lopez, Pa. She was also a member of the Gleaners Society of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Mildred, Pa. Anna was born in Old Forge, PA on July 19, 1913 a daughter of the late Theodore and Theresa Homik Patson. She was raised in Lopez, PA and began working at an early age at the former Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA. She married William F. Orlowski of Dushore, PA on March 6, 1937. After raising her children she continued to work at Dushore Lingerie from which she retired. After her stroke she resided with her daughter and received loving care for 15 years and the last 2 years she received care and kindness at Cedarbrook Nursing Home. Surviving: Son: William Orlowski Dushore, PA Daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Elwood Smith Whitehall, PA 8 grandchildren: Gary and his wife Cyndi; Tammy and her husband Osvaldo; Kimberly; Brian and his wife Tina; Diane Shults; Linda Beaver and her husband Ted; and Cindy and Cathy. 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Patson and Mary Gavlick of Somerville, NJ; four brothers: Michael and John of Lopez; Paul of Branchburg, NJ and Peter of Bridgewater, NJ. Friends may call on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M and on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from noon to 1P.M. at the Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. Robert G. Kaltenbaugh, officiating. Interment will be the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial fund, c/o Shepherd of the Hills Church P.O. Box 460, Dushore, PA in Anna’s memory. There will be a Parastas Service at 6:00 P.M. Friday, with Hieromonk Michael Their, officiating.
