Stanley was born on February 12, 1943, in Towanda, PA a son of the late Stanley Colegrove Sr. and Anna Yanavitch Bagdon. Stanley graduated from Wyalusing High School in 1961. After school he worked for a few years for PennDOT, and then went to work for the Wyalusing Valley School District, for whom he worked for 30+ years until retirement. He was a life member of North American fishing club, a life member of the North American Hunting Club, and a life member of the NRA. He was an avid bowler, and has participated in many State Bowling Tournaments. Surviving are his dog and loyal companion King, a brother and sister-in-law; Edward Colegrove and Carol Carter of Retta, PA: sister-in-law, Erma Bagdon of Wyalusing; Aunts and uncles: Mary Jones and Catheryn Randall, both of Stevensville; William Yanavitch of Waverly, NY; Betty Yanavitch and Martha Yanavitch both of Stevensville. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sister-in-law, Tony Bagdon in May 2001, Joseph & Marlene Colegrove of Laceyville on August 8, 2007, a nephew, Michael Colegrove of Laceyville, on August 8, 2007, and step-father Carl Bagdon on September 8, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with Fred Wheaton officiating. Interment will be in the Stevensville Cemetery, Stevensville, PA. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, on Friday, January, 27th, 2012 from 5:00 P.M – 7:00P.M..
