Norton, age 38, of Wilmot, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at his home. John was born in Montrose, PA, on September 19, 1973, son of Phillip and Louise Heeman Norton. He attended Wyalusing Valley High School where he played baseball and football, graduating in 1992. He met the former Kimberlee Kaufmann while they were both in school; they were high school sweethearts and were married on October 10, 1998. After school John took over his father’s stone quarry business. John loved spending time with his family and friends. He was well known throughout Bradford and Sullivan Counties. John loved to spend time outdoors, whether taking his kids for walks in the woods or teaching them about the quarry business. He was a die-hard Steelers fan; he loved watching football and was also an avid hunter. He will be missed by all. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at St John’s Lutheran Church, Wilmot, PA at 11:30 AM. with the Rev. Robert G. Kaltenbaugh officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA on Friday, Jan. 20th, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
