OBITUARY
Edward J. Savage Jr., age 75, of Hillsgrove, PA passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.
Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 2, 1936 a son of the late Edward Joseph Sr. and Mildred Smith Savage. He graduated from Camden Catholic High School a member of the class of 1954. He served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1958. He married the former Phyllis Miraglia of Haddon Heights on April 26, 1958. They resided in Deptford, NJ and retired first to Muncy Valley, PA in 1977 and later to Hillsgrove, PA in 2002. Phyllis predeceased Ed on February 18, 2011.
Ed was an active member of St. Basil’s Church and a Eucharistic Minister and a long standing member of St. John Neumann Council 12406, Knight of Columbus, Dushore, PA.
Ed enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, outdoor activities, being with his family and friends, meeting new people, and sharing his many experiences with all.

And several nieces and nephews.
A Transferal Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 30, 2011from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
