Gamble, age 79, of Sugar Run, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Robert Packer Hospital with his loving family at his side. Bill was born in Sugar Run, PA, on February 2, 1932, a son of the late Earl J. and Evelyn Garey Gamble. He attended Wyalusing High School and graduated in the class of 1949. He married the former Mabel Smith of Laceyville, PA on November 6, 1950; they had been married for 61 years. After school he worked with his father at the Wyalusing Planing Mill, he later joined his father in running the business, and took over after his father passed away. He retired in 1993. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, doing yard work, hunting, fishing, and watching the wildlife. He was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church and a past master of the Wyalusing Mason’s lodge # 618 F A&M.
