Stavisky, age 88, of Lopez, PA passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Manor Care North, in Williamsport, PA where she had been a resident since June 15, 1979. Florence was born January 5, 1923 in Kingston, PA a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Stien Kulakowski. During WWII she worked in N.J. as an inspector for Western Electric Co. After the War she returned home and married Alexander A. Stavisky of Lopez, PA. Florence worked at the former Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA and later helped her husband in the operation of his Greenhouse and Floral business in Lopez. Alex predeceased her on November 8, 1979. Florence was a member of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church, Lopez, PA. During her many years at Manor Care she enjoyed doing art work and especially creating her hand painted greeting cards. Kulakowski Hunlock Creek, PA Grandson: Michael Stavisky Palm Gardens, FL Granddaughter: Cindy Stavisky Orlando, FL And several nieces and nephews. Burial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Hieromonk Michael Thier, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Vladimir's Cemetery, Lopez, PA. Friends may call on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA. There will be a Parastas Service at 5:30 P.M. on Monday afternoon at the funeral home.
