Obert Meehan, age 92, of Tampa, Florida died Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home. Mary was born in Dushore, PA on September 25, 1919 a daughter of the late Martin Bernard Obert and Regina Richart Obert. She graduated from St. Basil’s High School in Dushore, a member of the class of 1936. She married Kelton Utz Meehan of Dushore on April 14, 1941. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1991 after fifty years of marriage. Mary and Kelt raised their family in Pennsylvania and retired to Florida in 1978. Mary was an active member of St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed bridge, was an avid golfer, and kept in touch with her family via the internet. Surviving are four children: Karen M. Meehan of North Wales, PA, Kerry A. (Peggy) Meehan of Dushore, PA, Shawn K. (Gail) Meehan of Eldersburg, MD, Roger A. (Sue) Meehan of Valrico, FL; two brothers: Bernard (Boo) M. Obert (her twin) of Dushore, PA and Joseph F. Obert of Bellefonte, PA; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA at the convenience of the family.
