(Jack) Hodgson, age 86, of Gibsonia, PA and Laporte, PA passed away on November 13, 2010 at the North Hills Passavant Hospital. John was born January 19, 1924 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania son of the late John R. & Katherine Parsons Hodgson. He graduated from Kittanning High School Kiski Prep School before entering the Army Air Force during WWII and served as a Sergeant with the 2140th Squadron. He was discharged in February of 1946. He returned home and entered Washington and Jefferson college where he graduated with a degree in Political Science in 1950. He was called back to the Army Air Force during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant until his discharge in October of 1952. Jack worked for Dominion Resources, a natural gas distribution company in the Pittsburgh area as a Commercial Marketing Supervisor and retired after 40+ years of service. In retirement he spent his summers in Laporte where he has owned a property for forty years. Jack was a member of North Hills Lodge # 716 F.&A.M. McCandless, PA. He played golf, enjoyed model railroading and trap shooting. Surviving, is his loving spouse of 42 years, the former Linda Lehman; two daughters: Judy Carr of Lexington Park, MD; and Jeanne Garfunkel of Mobile, AL; a brother-in-law: Chuck Lehman of Waynesboro, VA ; and two grandsons: Cory and Colin Garfunkel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mountain Ash Cemetery in Laporte. Memorials are directed to the American Lung Association, 11676 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
