Laura was born April 4, 1918 in Forks Township, Sullivan County a daughter of the late Maurice & Amelia Shrimp Reinbold. She graduated from the Elkland Township Vocational High School in Estella. She was married to John J. White for 50 wonderful years. He predeceased her on February 19, 1987. Laura worked for many years for the former Harrington Creamery and Dushore Lingerie Factory in Dushore, PA. Laura was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, the joys of her life. Surviving: Four daughters: Shirley (Gordon) Dailey Montoursville, PA Peggy (Robert) Pier Kirkwood, NY Regina (Drew) Bagley Shunk, PA Deborah (Raymond) Thall Carlisle, PA Fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predecease by a son, William J. White of Muncy, PA on May 18, 1997 and sisters: Beatrice Thall, Viola Hunsinger and Pearl Harney. A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011at 10:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
