Dane was born November 21, 1983 in Williamsport, a son of Gerald V. and Nancy J. Cotter Hoffman. He graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 2002. He was active in sports in High School playing baseball and basketball. He was a musician and attended West Chester University, and was a graduate of The Drummers Collective, N.Y.C. He loved spending time at the Eagles Mere Lake where he was formerly a life guard, and also being with his friends playing music. He was a drummer in the band called “Last Call.” At the time of his death he was employed at the Holcombe Group in Mildred, PA. Surviving in addition to his parents is his brother, Drew Hoffman of Greensboro, NC and the love of his life Amber Sheets of Sonestown. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 15th at 12:00 Noon at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with John & James Cotter, his uncles, officiating . Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers and request that Memorial Contributions be sent to the Geisinger Health System Foundation 100 North Academy Avenue, Danville, PA 17822 for Epilepsy research.
