DEAN HOMER FUNERAL HOME 206 WATER STREET PO BOX 1 DUSHORE, PA 18614 TEL 570 928-8163 FAX 570 928-8116 Email pdh@epix.net OBITUARY January 4, 2011 Mrs. Frances Marie Fetherbay, age 94, of Forks Township, Sullivan County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA Frances was born November 24, 1916 in Wayne Township, Armstrong County, PA one of eight children of the late Frank Allan & Zora Bell Schrecongost Hottenstein. She graduated from Elkland Township Vocational High School in Estella. She married Leon Carl Fetherbay of Elkland Twp. on April 6, 1937. Leon predeceased her on September 24, 1981. Frances worked as a seamstress for many former knitting mills, Weldon Mfg. Co. in Lopez, PA, Sull-Craft Industries and Dushore Lingerie in Dushore and others in Bradford and Wyoming Counties. Frances was a member of the East Forks Community Church, which was her childhood church which has been recently restored. She was an accomplished cook and baker, an avid gardener growing both vegetables and flowers and for many years was a member of the Millview Quilters. She was the former Democrat Committee Woman for Forks Township and also was the Forks Township Tax Collector for many terms. She was predeceased by brother, Arthur Hottenstein, and sisters: Minerva McMahon, Esther Rinker, Josephine Haverly, and Lillian Ayers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. John A. Wallace, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Warburton Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
